So what exactly is 'leadership?' 'Leadership' can be defined in a variety of ways,
depending on the situation at hand. There is no absolutely solid definition for 'leadership' However, in almost all
situations, this definition can apply:
Leadership is a feeling of responsibility and of confidence, that
one can make good decisions, that one can lead the public in the right direction, and if he/she fails, can claim
responsiblity for his/her mistake.
There are some traits that a leader should have, some of which are listed and explained below.
Confidence-If you don't have confidence in yourself, no one else is going to have confidence in you. No one will trust
you.
Team Skills-You have to learn to work in groups. Many of the projects that a leader does require group cooperation.
Respect-Same principle as Confidence; if you don't respect others, no one is going to respect you.
Responsibility-If you never claim fault for anything that happens that is not in your favor, you're not going to be
too popular.
Examples of leaders are Class Presidents, members of the Student Government, and all activists.
