So what exactly is 'leadership?' 'Leadership' can be defined in a variety of ways, depending on the situation at hand. There is no absolutely solid definition for 'leadership' However, in almost all situations, this definition can apply:

Leadership is a feeling of responsibility and of confidence, that one can make good decisions, that one can lead the public in the right direction, and if he/she fails, can claim responsiblity for his/her mistake.

There are some traits that a leader should have, some of which are listed and explained below.
Confidence-If you don't have confidence in yourself, no one else is going to have confidence in you. No one will trust you.

Team Skills-You have to learn to work in groups. Many of the projects that a leader does require group cooperation.

Respect-Same principle as Confidence; if you don't respect others, no one is going to respect you.

Responsibility-If you never claim fault for anything that happens that is not in your favor, you're not going to be too popular.
